Goodnight, John Boy.....

Do you recognize this house?
Many of us (ahem) 'older folks' remember it well.
It housed the Walton family,
and was filled with love, laughter, joy, sorrow, faith, and strength.
It was humble, yet welcoming.
People grew closer to one another and lives were changed in & around it.
Just watching that tv show in the 70's & 80's changed lives.

All things that we hope will happen in our new house -
which looks remarkably like this one. ;0)
Not exactly, but close. A bit smaller!

Things are moving right along on the purchase of the new property on the island,
a place where we can continue to grow our business,
build a barn & store to host our shows in,
and live the kind of meaningful lives we desire.
{um, not to mention the DECORATING part!}

We are so blessed by the many miracles that have occurred on this journey...
by the generosity of friends, of their faith in us,
and of their unwavering support that led to this new home for us.

And the day we found this wonderful place?
The sun broke out from behind the clouds and we all rejoiced.
The day the offer was accepted, we did a little jig.
The day we were allowed to place the 'SOLD' sign by the road,
we shouted for joy!
Now it's the hard part of waiting for closing, and moving our stuff.
{We have a LOT of stuff.}

We'll be moved in for Christmas, and that is a blessing in itself.
We can't gather our whole family this year, but maybe next...
I can already hear everyone giggling in the dark,
saying 'Good night, JohnBoy'. 'Good night, JimBob'.

Or perhaps in our case, 'Good night, DeBob' ;0)

God is so good!

I loved your parting words... "giggling in the dark".

It does my heart good just to know you will be (and are) able to giggle again after all you've been through. :

LOVE the new abode!
